RUNNING THE UPDATE MANUALLY
Current Build versions (in upper right by the clock while in media lab)
N4K, N4Kx, N6 = 2.020
N7 = depending on what batch of n7, could be mufasa v2-0131 or omega v2-0132
***Read the extra info on the post below in addition to performing the steps for your initial boot after install***
The media player runs automatic updates when you exit out of the media player and go back in (red media button 2x on N6 and older remotes) and if there's an update, A message will pop-up and say to press OK to close and finish the changes. Do it. This is the main way you should be updating only.
If you haven't updated in a while due to leaving the box on inside the media player 24x7 and never exiting, or if it is glitched and constantly repeats the notification for a update then you will have to do the full manual update process below. So if you want to wipe the media player and start fresh, especially if it's been a while or you want to bet sure old outdated files are cleared away and ensure you are up to date, do the following steps.
Steps for N4k/N4Kx, and N6 only:
1. Go to the home screen and clear data/media lab in the tools folder. Turn off box after it's done.
2. Turn box back on, Click on the Media Lab in center after it's booted up.
3. Let it load for a good while for it's first initialization, can take up to 10 minutes sometimes depending on your connection.
4. Click ok when initial setup is finished to exit out then go back into media lab.
