How do I find local channels in my area?
As we all know, the Netmaster gives us a ton of quality programming, especially things we cannot watch locally for free on an antenna. There are however people who would like or wish to have more local programming. There are certain add-ons that you can explore which have a selection of local prgramming from different areas. Add-on's come and go and neither I, nor anyone I know controls them, but theres a chance your area may be one of them. But to be absolutely sure you have YOUR local news and TV channels I definitely recommend a good antenna just like the old days. Cable and Satellite companies have done a great job at brainwashing us to think we have always needed them to get local channels. I remember when they used to actually charge extra for people to get their local channels! People just went along with it and it has become embedded into people's minds now that antennas are obsolete technology now. But that is far from the case!
For anyone interested in an antenna for their local broadcast TV to have alongside your netmaster, there are a few websites you can go to to see what channels should be availble in your area with a good antenna. They even show you where your antenna should face in order to get the best signals for the different channels. An antenna with a 35 mile+ range is best.. try for 50 to 100 miles if you can, check on amazon. I have a 75 mile antenna that you mount on a pole to the side of your house but I just have it in my attic and have a splitter from that to 3 rooms in my house.
