Providers and sources - How the add-ons pull up linksWhen using add-ons such as placenta, or other ones which pull up lots of links. What the add-on is doing is scraping the internet for all links that it can find for that particular movie. It uses an index which has the locations of where the files are located all across the internet. The people who provide all these files are constantly on the move and shuffle their content from server to server to avoid staying in one place too long and risk getting their files removed forcefully. So for this reason, the populated list can be out of date and you will find 'no stream available' even for things you have successfully watched before even the day before! How to fix or avoid broken linksIf you want a video of me explaining all of this in detail, along with personal one on one support and videos for all kinds of things, you will need an upgraded personal support plan. ----> linkBroken links.. "I watched this movie yesterday and today I can't find it anywhere!" "Why do things say 'no stream available?'" "None of the links are playing in this or that add-on" Here is a little explanation on how this stuff works. It is essential to know how all this takes place so you have a better understanding of what is going on when you encounter things. I explain some of it in my videos above with movies and TV shows. But here it is in writing. The #1 best way to avoid, and fix broken links in the media player is to update your addons. Most addons are “scrapers” that depend on various websites and servers for content– that’s why even minor alterations to streaming content sites can cause addons to break overnight. To address these problems when they occur, addon developers hustle to release patches that fix broken links and allow their users to regain access to their favorite feeds. Why do addons break? In order to understand the exact reason why video addons often break, you need to understand the nature of the addon developer community. Most addon makers are hobbyists and/or they create and maintain their addons for fun. Anyone can create an addon, which is why some are better maintained than others. It takes a tight-knit team of dedicated addon makers to create and maintain a quality video addon. Video addons like Covenant need constant updates because they depend on outside sources for content. They grab streams from various video hosting sites around the web and route them straight into your media player. If the source sites go down or change, so do the links inside the addon. You have to remember, the ones who provide this kind of content do NOT keep their content in the same place day in and day out. They are constantly moving from server to server so that they can AVOID getting taken down PERMENANTLY. So when this happens, the add-ons have to 're-scrape' or re-comb the internet for a fresh index of where to scrape from. Fix #1: Update your addons If you have an addon that has suddenly stopped working, the first thing you should do is check and see if there’s an update for it. 1. See if there is an upgrade available Inside the media player, scroll to system → add-ons browser → and see if you see a line that says "Available Updates". If there is for your add-ons or for something like URLResolver, go to it and go to each one and then manually update them or if there are several then choose "update all" to force a manual update. ALTERNATIVELY, you can also just press the red media button twice and when the media player re-loads, it will begin an update check within a minute or two from booting up. You can also run a manual wizard update if you are so inclined to do so. 2. If step 1 did not bring up a fresh set of working links, run a manual update. 3. If #1 and #2 didn't work. Try a real debrid account. ---> Real-Debrid
