Possible defects in modems can be an issue for you
There are some modems out there which have chipsets that are, well, how can I say it.. crap. They use an Intel Puma6 chipset and have have a tendency to have issues with latency (slowness). The links below are best tested on your PC/Laptop and not on your phone or Netmaster.
Here is a website which lists some known Puma6 Modems ---> Puma6 Hardware
Here is a link to test your connection for possible latency inconsistency from Puma6 issues ---> Puma6 Test
DSLReports Speedtest ---> Speedtest
Just because a speedtest gives you high MBPS doesn't mean your connection is good or acting right. Theres more to it than that.
As discussed in the buffering section ---> (Here), theres a lot more to buffering than mere mbps numbers on a speed test. There's ping (latency), bufferbloat, line quality, etc. Use the DSLReports speed test above to detect any possible spikes in your bufferbloat, this will be increased lag during heavy load.
Also, you can check your modem's configuration page by openning up your browser and going to your modem's IP address (google your model's IP address, mine is 192.168.100.1). There is usually a table which can be used to show you your modem's power levels, signal to noise ratio, and depending on your modem model, also error ratios (correctables and non-correctables). Google how to read this data to find out if there is a problem with your internet line. Below in the next reply to the thread, I will show a post I made one day on the support group and pictures showing how even though I have great speed test results with mbps, I have high latency and lots of errors on my modem.
