Video Troubleshooting
No Video
1.1
Do you have a N1 or N2 model and a 4K TV? If yes, follow these steps. If no, skip to 1.2
1) Plug your Netmaster into a non-4K TV
2) Scroll to the right on the home screen until you see the HDMI settings icon.
3) Click on HDMI and manually select 1080P 60hz so it will no longer be set to "Auto" and save the Changes.
4) Turn off the Netmaster and unplug it and reconnect it to your 4K TV.
1.2
If you do not have a 4K TV and have no video
1) Check your HDMI cable. Is it the one that the box came with? If not, try that one. If you have another HDMI v1.4+ cable (N1 or N2) or HDMI v2.0+ (N4K), you can try with that one.
2) Check your input on the TV and make sure it is on the correct HDMI input.
3) Try unplugging the HDMI from the TV and reinserting it, also on the box itself.
Flickering or Freezing Video or color issues
If you get flickering video, where your screen pops in and out of it's HDMI output
1) Unplug the HDMI Cable and reinsert it
2) Try a different HDMI cable. For N1 and N2 models, you must use an HDMI v1.4 cable or higher. For an N4K model, you must use HDMI v2.0 or higher.
Freezing Video (on the Home screen or while navigating anywhere inside the box)
1) Unplug the HDMI Cable and reinsert it
2) Try a different HDMI cable. For N1 and N2 models, you must use an HDMI v1.4 cable or higher. For an N4K model, you must use HDMI v2.0 or higher.
3) Check the batteries in your remote control to make sure it isn't dead and making it seem like your screen is frozen.
4) You can also use a mouse and keyboard, both a wired one, or a wireless one with a USB dongle, and see if you can control the box to further isolate whether it is a faulty remote or the box/cables.
5) If the freezing is occuring while you are trying to select links that you added to your favorites list, then the add-on that had the link may have changed the link and your link is now dead and leading to nowhere causing it to lock up.
Freezing Video (Frozen on the bootup screen/animation)
1) Unplug the HDMI Cable and reinsert it
2) Try a different HDMI cable. For N1 and N2 models, you must use an HDMI v1.4 cable or higher. For an N4K model, you must use HDMI v2.0 or higher.
3) Turn off the Box and try again
When I click a link, it plays but is just a small box in the corner of the screen instead of full screen, help!
1) Press the Red Media button twice to refresh the media player. May take more than one attempt.
2) If Step 1 doesn't work after 2 or 3 attempts, Check the HDMI settings page. It should say either Auto, or whatever picture format your TV is capable of. If it says 480P only, then theres an issue with the HDMI port on your TV or the HDMI cable. Turn off the netmaster, then swap to a different port on the TV and/or change the cable. Turn on the Netmaster and check the HDMI settings again to see if more than 480P is available..
3) If Steps 1 and 2 do not work, perform a facotry reset in Netmaster Tools and start fresh with an initial install process. (Found on the Initial setup section on this forum)
My TV Shuts off by itself
This is due to what is called CEC settings on your TV. CEC control allows HDMI equipped devices to control each other simultaneously from one device. Lots of different TV brands may call CEC some unique name. Some of the names are:
* AOC - E-link
* Hitachi - HDMI-CEC
* LG - SimpLink
* Loewe - Digital Link or Digital Link Plus
* Mitsubishi - NetCommand for HDMI
* Onkyo - RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI)
* Panasonic - VIERA Link or HDAVI Control or EZ-Sync
* Philips - EasyLink
* Pioneer - Kuro Link
* Runco International - RuncoLink
* Samsung - Anynet+
* Sharp - Aquos Link
* Sony - BRAVIA Link or BRAVIA Sync (You may need to use a port labeled HDMI-MHL if the regular HDMI port does not work.)
* Toshiba - Regza Link or CE-Link
Steps you can take to fix this issue
1) Disable your CEC settings in your TV
2) On the Netmaster Home Screen, scroll to the right all the way to Advanced, then scroll to CEC settings and toggle the options on/off to whatever settings works for you to alleviate your CEC controls from turning off your TV.
