When you are done for the day using your box, leave your box on so that it can keep in contact with the servers and update on its own periodically. Simply press the Red Media button twice about 10 minutes before you plan to use it again to do a background update check so that it will be good to go by the time you are ready to use it and all logins and passwords for premium add-ons are refreshed.
2) You can purchase a wireless keyboard/mouse combo and use the keyboard to type in things quicker than using the remote control. This one is pretty convenient since it is both in one unit --->
Click Here3) If you turn your box off, press the red media button first to go back to the home screen, then turn it off. This will ensure theres less chances of apps glitching.
4) Reboot your modem and router once a week or so. This is a good practice with or without a streaming box since signal errors can occur in networking devices and affect every device on your network. You may not even realize it unless you do this kind of streaming since it is more intensive and sensitive to network communication issues than gaming systems, phone browsing, netflix, youtube, etc.
5) Using the 5ghz band of Wi-Fi is generally faster than the 2.4ghz band. The trade-off is range. 5ghz = fast and less range and 2.4ghz = slower max speed but can penetrate walls better and go further.
6) Anytime you experience streaming problems, the first step is to run a speed test, always run a speed test to determine if your box is getting sufficient speed at that moment in time. 99% of all issues are either connection issues (local connection or the server of the link you are clicking on) or user error.

Watching movies
1) All the better add-ons for watching movies will be listed in the bottom row under that category. Several add-ons have search functions built into them and you simply can search for a specific title and see if it is available. If it is a very very recent movie, especially still in theaters, there may not always be a stream available for it. If you search several add-ons and all of them return "No Stream Available" then it is simply not online yet. Many times, you will find an icon for a title even though it isn't out yet. This is just a placeholder for later when the movie does have a stream available. You can also sometimes see the movie trailers for them by hovering over it, then pressing the menu button on the remote and selecting "View Trailer".
2) Sources/Providers, each title in many of the add-ons will pull up a large assortment of links to choose from. These links will typically have two names in each one, a provider and a source. Pay attention to the names because some are better than others and make note of which ones generally give you the best results with the least amounts of buffering. if any... so that you can look for those when searching different titles. 2) If you get buffering, first verify your speed in the speed test, then try cleaning your cache under the system tab, and also you can try to reboot your internet equipment. Use another add-on to see if it is every add-on buffering or just an issue with a single add-on. The add-on could be experiencing an issue on their side so you may be good with others.
